Robber Fort Douge J A Brech Wald says he hopes for a long life because long life is the rule in his family. His father John Brechwald is 70, grandfather Jacob 96, maternal grandmother Emma Hanson from Holstein age not stated. Great-grandparent lived to 108 and great-great-grandfather 112.
Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt tentatively accepts Drake University's invitation to deliver the commencement address on June 8 in Des Moines. The acceptance depends on possible changes in President Roosevelt's plans, the United Press dispatch from Washington reports.
Davenport man O Meara 36 slept in a Davenport public library reference room after drinking liquor. He collapsed in a chair and snores upset staff, prompting police to arrest him and place him in a city jail cell.
Dr William Woodbury health officer for 19 years in Boone county resigns citing insufficient pay. He currently earns 200 dollars annually for his duties and is noted as the oldest practicing physician in the county. Mayor J E Irwin stated an effort will be made to raise funds for his burial expenses.
The state corn-hog committee will proceed with filled line out of compliance certificates totaling between 20 and 25 million dollars owed to farmers. R. M. Evans, committee chairman, announced that farmers in about 200 counties have complied with contract terms and have money due under the agreements.

Lattimore address Box 94 Florissant is a suburb of St Louis. Hoyt was of high school age and had moved near St Louis years ago.
The Washington National bank won with the best bid for 13 500 in city improvement and street bonds at the city hall sale. Rates were two percent with a 31 premium on 8 000 of city bonds and par plus 55 premium on 7 500 street bonds at five percent. Other bidders included Des Moines and Davenport firms. WPA work plans and interior color scheme for city hall were also discussed.
Ila Nicola died in Hale Center Texas after flu and heart trouble. Funeral set for 2 pm Thursday at Fairbanks Funeral Home Muscatine. She lived in Muscatine and earlier on a farm north of Washington. Survived by three children Bernice Nicola Eleanor Law and Chauncey in Hawaii.

The supper is at 7 pm and the church east dining room will be reserved for the group.
