Farm Institute to Hear Agricultural Leaders January 27
Five speakers will address the third annual Farm Institute sponsored by the Agriculture Bureau of the Washington Chamber of Commerce. Forest Goetsch of Doane's Reports will speak on the Specialized Farmer, followed by R. R. Poynor of International Harvester on Tools for Specialized Farming and John McClellan of McKee Feed and Grain on The River Grain Trade. The event includes a free noon lunch in the Washington YMCA Community room and an after noon session on grain hedging and the new beef cattle futures market led by a Merrill, Lynch, Fenner and Smith representative from Chicago.

Iowa auditor reports theft of county audit worksheets

Three Children Hurt In Kalona School Bus Crash
A foggy collision near Kalona involving Lloyd Staubach 17 and his brother David 15 hit a Washington Two bus driven by Willard Yoder as it turned into a farm driveway. Staubach and David were taken to Mercy Hospital with facial lacerations and internal injuries surgery planned. three children on the bus suffered minor injuries.
