Allies Sign Agreement No Separate Peace Pacts
Twenty six nations led by the United States Great Britain Russia and China pledged to fight the axis to a finish and to reject any separate peace the White House announced. The pact covers Germany Italy and Japan and aims for a united victory while coordinating economic and military resources. Several envoys including Panama’s Ernesto Jaen Guardia and representatives from Australia Belgium the Netherlands Costa Rica and others reportedly signed or planned to sign the anti axis declaration.

Edna Palmer Dies After Seven Week Illness
Edna Daisy Palmer 68, of east of Washington, died at 11 30 this morning after seven weeks illness. Funeral 2 30 Sunday at Shermans funeral home led by Rev George Kerr. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery. She was born January 7 1874 on the Easton farm and lived all her life east of Washington. Survived by two brothers Fred and Everett Palmer and two sisters Mrs Alva Beenblossom and Mrs J C Bridges Brighton.
