Plane Pilot and Hostess Save Thirty Lives
In Tulsa Oklahoma a Convair with one engine failed after takeoff, forcing Capt P C Walters to belly land near the Municipal airport. Fire erupted but Walters and hostess Cecilia Litte evacuated all thirty aboard. Walters and co pilot Forrest Hull were hospitalized with shock along with three passengers.
