The IOOF Minstrel show "Blackbirds of 1951" drew a large Washington crowd for two hours of music and humor produced by Forrest Walker with Myron Isaiaday and Mrs. Lee Baird. Doyle Jarrard led as interlocutor. Rex Lee and the quartet delivered standout turns. a spontaneous bottle symphony drew applause. A second performance is scheduled tonight at 8 in the high school auditorium.

Funeral services for George E. Fisher age 83 or 87 depending on OCR line will be held Thursday at 2 PM at Wes tcott Doughty Chandler Funeral Home Sioux City. He died Monday Feb 26 at 12 10 PM at his son Milmer F Fishers home where he had lived since 1945. Born Nov 15 1863 in Underwood Iowa he was son of Henry G and Hannah Fisner. He married Anna Elizabeth Currie in June 1885. Survivors include son Elmer two grandchildren three sisters and one brother. He was preceded by a son two brothers and a sister.

Sioux City AP reports H L McKinley a prominent Iowa potato farmer told Sen Hickenlooper he would comply with marketing restrictions if pressed. Judge Graven set March 12 in Waterloo for government case. McKinley claims department persecution and notes 24 of 25 Iowa farmers opposed the marketing agreement.
