She was born Minnie Tendrick in Wilton on March 16, 1892 and is survived by her husband two sons Robert and Richard her mother Mrs. Tillie Hendrickson three brothers William Lawrence Hermon and a sister Mrs. Lorraine Lukenbach. Funeral arrangements to be set upon word from her mother who is in New York with the Tae d e Poysen family en route to Germany.
Austin B. Garretson former head of the order of railroad conductors and a member of President Wilson's industrial relations commission died in Cedar Rapids after six weeks of heart disease. He was 7h years old and well known among railroad men in the United States and Mexico.
London welcomed Chaplin’s latest film City Lights at a star studded premiere. Charles Spencer Chaplin appeared in person, bringing Hollywood glamour to a London crowd amid steady winter rain.
Washington Masons at a temple meeting outlined plans to furnish and equip lodge and club rooms in the new Masonic building. Funds have been subscribed to complete the lodge room, and the Temple building company will proceed without delay. Building representatives will secure the remaining funds so the club rooms can be furnished soon.
John W. Longe was arraigned before Justice of the Peace and bound over to the grand jury on maintaining a liquor nuisance. Bonds were set at $1,000 following a sheriff raid at the Long home, 615 North Avenue B, where alcohol was seized.
Lloyd Swit severed the ends of the two middle fingers on his left hand yesterday afternoon after catching them in a feed mixer at the Bush feed store where he works.
Thornton Latta of Denver died Tuesday leaving a widow and three sons. He was the brother of W H Latta and uncle of Mrs. C A Rolce, Mrs. Clifford Thorne, and Miss Kathryn Latta. He lived here years ago and funeral services were held Thursday.
