DES MOINES Polk county auto license registrations for 1943 are 8000 lower than last year says Ben Hatcher superintendent of the auto license department. Only 80740 of the 1943 license stickers have been sold so far compared with 38507 by Feb 24 1942. About 2500 owners have stored their autos and returned 1942 plates to avoid penalty with a deadline of Feb 1.
