A major blaze in Hot Springs Arkansas caused nearly one million dollars in damage. Three or more people died and about two thousand residents became homeless as one hundred buildings including three hotels burned. Water pressure failed and bucket brigades fought the flames. the fire was controlled by nine o clock. The affected area stretched between Onchita and Prospect avenues.
