Two loaded railway cars derailed around 7 a.m. today on the Milwaukee line inside the city limits north of Barnes Furniture store. A broken journal caused the incident. no injuries were reported and service is expected to resume about 3 p.m.
Robert Coleman of Washington and Martyn Yoder of Riverside bound over to the grand jury on charges of larceny of a motor vehicle. They allegedly took an auto belonging to Keith Jarrard of Brighton and are jailed in Washington county with bail set at $5000.
Doyle Hileman, 30, accused of killing his 16 year old stepdaughter, left a note saying may be I can find peace. His body was found in his car near Jefferson in an apparent self inflicted death after a fugitive pursuit. Ballistics tests confirmed the gun near his body killed him. He was buried near Leon Iowa as police described a cas e of attempted coercion before the fatal act.
