Mrs Eliza Warfel Dies At 86 After Fall
Mrs. Eliza Warfel widow of EH Warfel died this morning at her daughter Mrs George Clapper’s home nine miles southwest of town. She was 86 and died from a shock after a fall last Saturday. Funeral Sunday at 2:20 p.m. at L A Jones funeral home conducted by Dr F W Eastwood. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery. Survived by two daughters Mrs George Clapper and Mrs W M Darbyshire. Born November 17, 1841 near Galesboro Illinois. She was a pioneer of Washington county and a longtime Presbyterian member. Two other children Fred and Anna are deceased. The Wellston, Ma report follows of a bank robbery at Wellston Trust Company with $25,000 to $30,000 seized and the driver kidnapped.

Judge Ralph Otto of Iowa City died at his home after a long illness with Bright's disease at age 51. He served on the Eighth District Court bench since 1918, had led Democratic politics in eastern Iowa, and had been mayor of Iowa City.
