Sixty eight Washington high school band members plus instructor Mel Hill and two chaperones completed an all day tour visiting Keota Sigourney Montezuma and Grinnell. Lunch in Oskaloosa preceded a Montezuma concert with Deep River Malcolm and New Sharon in attendance. The Grinnell segment featured a meal courtesy of Grinnell band and a joint concert with Grinnell. Charles Lukenbill of Washington and Eva Blattner highlighted the program and chaperones Mrs. Ken Peters and Mrs. Clark Wagner were praised for their help. The trip ran 7:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m.
