Man Appeals to Roosevelt for Draft Deferment
Joseph W. Walters of Davenport 34 father of a seven month old child is appealing to President Roosevelt for deferment from compulsory military training. Plan Charges Against Motley For Drunken Driving
Sheriff H M Putnam announced information filed against A W Motley of Washington for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. A warrant for arrest was issued by Justice J K Bovee. Motley, about 50, suffered a fractured jaw and neck gash from yesterday's collision on Highway 92 east of town. He fled the scene but was caught by deputies.
