Hill Jury Dismissed After Deadlock in Matricide Case

In Jefferson City Missouri 16 volunteers offered skin to save 11 year old Leslie Landrum who burned across hips to ankles. Dr S V Bedford at St Marys hospital said about 4000 skin pieces will be needed and 150 square inches burned with over six hundred grafts already done. The process will continue for months due to the boy's weakened condition.

Wild Parties at Coe Lead to Fraternity Probation

Senator Reed of Missouri assails the interstate commerce commission for a lake cargo rate decision he terms a conspiracy in restraint of trade. Republican caucuses called for Washington county precincts

Freshmen and Juniors Top Class Games at Washington

In the Washington high school class series the freshmen beat the seniors 26 to 21 while the juniors defeated the sophomores 28 to 1. First Snow Falls Across Iowa After Warm Spell

Snow began around eight this morning and continued through the afternoon. By midafternoon four inches covered much of the state with heavier falls expected in the north. Weather reports say the storm followed several weeks of warm weather and will bring colder conditions ahead.
