Soviet to Interview U S Based Defector Nossenko
The State Department said Soviet officials will interview Yuri Nossenko, a Russian KGB defector in the United States, at an early date. A Russian note requested the interview and information on how Nossenko came into U.S. hands. The U S would not reveal location or asylum status, but said officials would be present during the talks.

Abandoned four week old girl found at McGregor hospital
A four week old baby girl was found in the McGregor community hospital nursery at about 6 30 pm Wednesday by a nurse. Clayton County sheriff and social welfare workers searched the McGregor area without locating the parents. The well dressed infant weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces and was in a blue gown booties and blanket. The child’s parents remain unknown and a theory suggests the infant was abandoned by travelers through the northeastern Iowa border city.
