Register 47 Tuesday At Children's Clinic

Forty seven patients were registered for the normal clinic for crippled children held in the Mecwodist care center Tuesday under the sponsorship of the Iowa State Services for Crippled Children. The staff included Dor Ror Teibolt of Iowa City director and Dr I Niecums and Dr RoR Renibolt pediatricians along with orthopedists, psychologists, therapists, and welfare workers from Washington and Keokuk counties. Local volunteers from Washington and Keokuk counties assisted with the clinic.

California Man Dies In Jail At Muscatine

Sam Coldren a 94 year old from Lacuna Beach California died in the Muscatine county jail from a heart attack after being arrested for intoxication on Saturday night. Police said there were signs he had been beaten. George Minton Davenport was released on an open charge after the autopsy report. He admitted fighting with Coldren Saturday night.

Judge Frank Bechly will be in Washington on Wednesday February 20 and part of the following day to handle district court matters. The notice came in a morning letter to RR ak Noonan clerk of district court. Noonan reminded prosecutors who served in the opening sessions of the term to stop at his office to collect their fees.

New Washington Welcomes Lester Bundy Family

New resident Lester Bundy and his wife Nancy, with their PS month old daughter Kathryn Jeanette, live at 516 North Second Avenue. Bundy, a piano tuner technician, will tune repair pianos for Lorden Music customers and teach piano in Washington. He graduated from Iowa State Teachers College Cedar Falls and earned a master’s in piano at Northwestern University. Bundy, once from Cedar Falls, now resides in Washington with roots in Albia. He is an avid bowler and plans to join local music and teaching activities through Lorden Music.
