In Big Piney Wyoming the last of the quintuplets born to Mrs. Allen Bradley died Sunday at Holy Cross Hospital. Doctors said the premature birth made survival unlikely for Sharon Bradley and her siblings Christopher Anne Samuel and Elizabeth. The mother is a Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing graduate.

Elderly Cedar Rapids Couple Die From Cold Home
An elderly Cedar Rapids couple, John Letovsky, 88, and Josephine Letovsky, 89, were found dead Saturday in their northeast Cedar Rapids home. Police say a furnace failure Friday or early Saturday caused indoor temps to drop to about 38. A relative found the bodies around 4:00 p.m. Autopsy not scheduled.

Six children die in flash fire on farm shack
A flash fire swept a Lee Township tenant shack on the Adkins Bros. farm near South Haven Michigan killing six children. Parents Alzie and Lucille Rice and another child escaped. Sharon Stringer 14, a child by Mrs. Bice's prior marriage, survived to alert them. The blaze started from an oil heater and destroyed a 12 by 26 foot shack.

In Lynnville Iowa authorities recovered the body of 4 year old Shelby Crawford six hours after she fell through the ice on the North Skunk River while playing with cousin Regina Scull. Jasper County sheriff's deputies located the body by divers.
