Lie Test Follows Farm Fire Near Brighton
The 54 year old farmer Jim Keller of the Keller farm 32 miles northwest of Brighton is taken to Iowa City for a lie detector test after reporting a knife man attacked him in the barn before a Monday morning blaze destroyed a broad farmhouse and two earlier fires on the same property. Local sheriff's officers moved in as Brighton volunteers left the scene.

Rites Held in Mason City for Peter Mineart
Funeral services were held today in Mason City for Peter Mineart 69 a former Brighton resident and retired foreman of the American Checker Company. Burial followed in a Mason City cemetery. Survived by widow two daughters one son two brothers and four sisters. Mrs Rena Booth of Keota is his former wife. Born October 25 1893 he lived in Mason City for two years prior to his death Friday evening.
