King George III Body Reaches London for Lie in State
The royal cortege returned to London with the imperial crown atop King George VI s coffin as Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother Elizabeth and Princess Margaret stood in mourning. The body had been conveyed from Sandringham where the king was born and died last Wednesday.

Two Men Sentenced in Cerro Gordo Jail Escape
Dean Brackey of Mason City and Charles A Campbell of Grand Rapids Minn were sentenced in district court after pleading guilty to jail break and related charges. Third Tragedy at Newark Airport Kills One, Injures Dozens
A National Airlines DC-6 crashed into a four story Elizabeth apartment building shortly after takeoff for Miami.
