A E Forgey 66 Dies Suddenly in Iowa Home
A E Forgey aged 66 died suddenly at four this morning at 311 East Madison after a two day illness. Funeral at 2 30 Saturday at home conducted by Rev M R Regan with burial in Elm Grove cemetery. He was born July 11 1855 near Oquawka and lived most of his life there before moving to town in 1904. He worked as a blacksmith, wagon maker, grocer, and in recent years a janitor. survived by his widow and two daughters Lucile and Carol, plus several siblings. He was a deacon in the Washington Baptist Church at his death.

County Home Women Enjoy Fox Theatre Party
A group of seventeen women from the county home, ages sixteen to eighty six, plus Mrs. Frank Beatty, rode to town in donated cars to attend a Harold Lloyd film at the Fox Theatre.
