He cited $1 000 000 daily payments to ex service men and dependents and free hospital care for 30 090 veterans with annual costs around $60 000 000. The bureau provides free vocational training for over 100 069 veterans cost 30 000 000 yearly. It runs a no cost life insurance program for 600 000 veterans with 3 560 000 in force. Monthly medical exams exceed 50 000 and outside treatment to 20 000 monthly. Compensation claims total 65 000 paid 300 141 000. insurance claims 18 000 valued at 1 310 000 000. He asked whether this proves government action or inaction.
