Cedar Rapids Woman Rescued After Car Plunges Into Cedar River
A Cedar Rapids woman Barbara Maitland aged 35 was trapped when her car veered off the Second Avenue bridge into the Cedar River. Firefighter Clarence Norris 28 fell into the river during the rescue but survived with back injuries and exposure. Maitland was saved and taken to hospital in fair condition.

Iowa House Advances Ban on Pay Toilets in Public Restrooms
The Iowa House approved a bill to ban charges for toilet access on an 80 to 5 vote, closing a loophole that allowed fees for leaving restrooms. Rep.
