Neil Wesley Brenner a Waverly salesman lost his B gasoline book after a hearing before the Brenner county price and rationing board Monday afternoon. A state highway patrol report charges he drove 60 miles an hour on open country near Cedar Rapids. The B book left 8 gallons in coupons and expires March 1. He kept his A book.

Plane crash near Sioux City kills seven in bomber fall
Seven men died and three were injured when a heavy bomber crashed three miles southeast of the Sioux City air base last night. Blood Drive Seeks Convalescent Serum Donors
Iowa Department of Health ser um center will collect blood at the health unit office on February 11 at 1 PM from individuals who recently recovered from scarlet fever measles or whooping cough. The blood funds convalescent serum used statewide to treat these diseases with special demand for whooping cough. Washington county residents over twelve who have recovered are aiding by donating blood with no vaccine prior bleeding.
