Bomb threat sends Winnebago staff home in Forest City
About 1,400 workers at Winnebago Industries were sent home after a telephoned bomb threat at the motor home plant in Forest City. The main assembly plant was shut down at 7:50 am as a precaution while the complex operated under security checks. Meanwhile in Iowa City former legislator and broadcasting executive Scott Swisher died at University Hospitals after a heart attack. Swisher, 52, led Johnson County Broadcasting Co which owns KXIC radio.
