Relatives say G. D. Roger, 42, a Newton corn farmer, disappeared eight weeks ago after hauling corn on December 9. He appeared in California Saturday night ill with no recollection of his whereabouts. His car was found abandoned on a Des Moines river bridge. His wife cited worry over two sons in the army and a third son nearing high school enlistment.

Harold Beck er 18 and Audrey Arnold 16 were found dead in a running car outside the Rease cafe in Little Rock at 6 a.m. Monday. Coroner A H Lock wood ruled death from carbon monoxide poisoning. Carl Corpman living six miles northwest of Brighton was brought to the county hospital by ambulance after a runaway incident this afternoon. He suffered bad bruises to shoulders and hips and x rays were ordered to check for broken bones. He had been driving a hay wagon tied to a team of horses near the Indian Creek bridge when a car with a trailer and high wagon box frightened the horses, crossing the bridge and throwing him to the ground. Fred Chalupa helped secure the horses and take them home.
