Mrs. W. F. Gardner, recently very ill at Washington County Hospital, is reported to be somewhat improved.
Funeral services for Mrs Walt Zigler will be held Wednesday at 2 30 p m at Shermane funeral home with DeW Eastwood in charge. Burial will be at Elgin Grove cemetery. Mrs Zigler died Sunday February 1 at St Luke s hospital Port where a sister Mie bimor Thomas died eight weeks ago. She had long failing health and a recent critical decline following surgery. She was born May Is Perrin Missouri and lived there most of her childhood, later moved to Davenport briefly before aging. She married Ram wel Donovan in 1905 and had a daughter Ramona. Survived by husband Zigler and mother, Mrs Margaret Mrownwood, plus brothers Brown Centerville Wall Aisworth Rank Moline Ma Rock Island and Martin and Joho bk of Washington. three sisters preceded in death.
Chicago February 14 Dr Alleen Wynekoop again faces murder charges for her daughter in law Kheta Wynekoop. The second trial was scheduled before Judge Harry E Miller after a prior mistrial due to the defendant’s health.
A lab at a Washington junior college high school released hydrogen sulfide gas around 8:30 am. Teacher Miss Lucy Stahl and several students were hospitalized with varying exposure levels after first aid measures and rapid intervention helped many recover.
Thomas E. Jones died at Washington duty hospital after an appendicitis operation. The Colume by Junction resident, about 60, left a wife and four daughters including Mrs. Jerry Evans. Funeral details were not announced.
