County NFO Elects Officers At Washington County Meeting
Alvin Horak was re elected chairman of the Washington County chapter of the National Farmers Organization at the annual election Tuesday night at the county fair grounds. John Jeffries was elected vice chairman with Mrs Guy Gerot secretary Grove Letts treasurer and Duane Redlinger district director. Mrs Ralph Klein retired treasurer was chosen to serve a three year term as trustee Elliott McKinstry has two years left and Paul Beard one year. Elmer Schneider Everett Rath Guy Gerot Carl Craig Jr and Leroy O Connor were elected to represent Washington County on the meat bargaining board for one year with John Jeffries and Leo Robertson as alternates. The county meat board along with boards from Muscatine Keokuk and Poweshiek counties will meet Wednesday night in Sigourney to elect a member and an alternate to zone four of the Ottumwa meat marketing area.
