Dies of Injuries In Ainsworth Collision
Harry Kelly 78 of Newton died in a Newton hospital from injuries suffered in a Sunday afternoon auto pickup crash at the Ainsworth junction. Joe Hand Newton driver remained in an Iowa City hospital. Both had visited Florence Klotz Columbus Junction, a cousin of Kelly, before starting home around 4 PM. It was Washington county’s first traffic fatality of 1951.

Mrs. Taylor Carlisle aged over 80 died Thursday evening at Bellevue hospital Muscatine after a period of illness. The body lies at Stephens Funeral home Columbus Junction. She was born Mary Harmon and married Mr. Carlisle on June 25 1886. He died March 3 1943. Survived by son Dean Carlisle of Columbus Junction two granddaughters and several great grandchildren.
