UPI reports the U.S. district attorney will present more election wrongdoing evidence to a January grand jury after two Democratic precinct workers were indicted for buying votes in the November presidential election. Bernard Crown Jr. and Leonard Gibbs Jr., both 29 and 2, are Chicago Park District employees and precinct workers in the 18th Precinct of the 29th Ward.

Doyle Allsup athletic trainer at the University of Iowa since 1939 died of a heart attack at 58 Thursday night after hospitalization since December 14. Athletic Director Forest Evashevski called his death a great loss to the university, noting Allsup was a trusted friend and counsellor to current and former athletes. He helped Iowa maintain one of the lowest injury records in the Big Ten.
