The Gun Club held a Wednesday live pigeon shoot with individual scores for members Wallace McCartney Glasgow DeLong Graham Schott Dixon Campbell Blair Row Bailey Ashby McClean and McClean recording results. The tally shows multiple entries and a total of 4 points for the final participant and a negative 4 for another.
Frank Howland faced two masked assailants who demanded surrender on the railway crossing and searched him briefly before escaping. In Centerville a drunken Campbell on a westbound train drew a revolver on Davis county Sheriff, who subdued him and the train later delivered him to the first station after a dramatic chase.
Business in this line is very light with civil matters dominating the docket. Violators of the law are scarce, a status officials say is welcome.

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Mason were conducted at the family residence at one o'clock this afternoon by Rev. W G Thorn. Interment followed in Elim Grove cemetery. A triangle floral tribute with A. O. U. W. across in flowers was placed by Wm. Wilson Jr in Oskaloosa for the local lodge.
A local ad announces a bargain sale of a bedroom suite, dining room table and chairs, and miscellaneous chairs and dishes. The seller is listed as Jallon R. I. Corbyn or R. A. Miller in the Temple building.
The Chase-Lister Company presented The Plunger to Washington residents last evening with a well filled house. Miss Hellen Minkley impressed in an emotional role, while C. A. Logue arrived from Its therville Ila and planned to visit his parents and sister.
