Burial Elm Grove Cemetery Washington. Born July 10, 1872 in Oquawka Illinois. Married Elnora Johnson Feb 27 1909. Survived by three sons Leonard Earl Chester Carlson two daughters in law and many grandchildren. He had lived in Columbus Junction for years at Restopia Rest Home.

Three Cars Damaged In Minor Accident Near Crawfordsville
At 1 45 am Tuesday three cars were damaged along Highway 15 a quarter mile south of Crawfordsville with no injuries. Sheriff’s officers said all cars were northbound. Victor Hesseltine stopped to turn left, John Hulme slowed, Day Riley West struck Hulme, pushing into Hesseltine. Damage estimated at about 975 dollars.

Keota Couple Injured In Interstate 80 Crash
Keota Mr and Mrs Floyd Stephen were injured Monday when their car skidded on ice on Interstate 80 in Des Moines. Mr Stephen, owner of Stephens Cleaners in Keota, is hospitalized in Des Moines with a fractured vertebra and may stay 10 days to two weeks. Mrs Stephen is at a daughter's home in Oskaloosa after suffering a broken collar bone. The couple was en route to Adel to visit a son, Don Stephen, when the vehicle struck another car at the 29th Street intersection and rolled into a ditch.
