Patton Laid To Rest In Uk Wind Laced Burial
General George Patton was buried on a windswept bluff above a field of white crosses in Luxembourg. The open grave ceremony featured a 17 man firing squad, taps, and a folded American flag presented to Patton's widow by his orderly Sergeant William Leeds, who paused to exchange a grave, silent message with her. Attended by military dignitaries from 11 nations, the service followed brief, disciplined rites in the Patton burial.

Pilotless C-47 Crashes Near Bourneville After 4 Hour Flight
A C-47 transport flown without a crew crashed in a field near Bourneville Ohio after a four hour solo flight from Denver to Lincoln. The six man crew abandoned the plane near Dwight Nebraska at 6:20 P.M. and it later crashed at 10:30 P.M. Officials in Chillicothe Ohio opened an investigation into the incident.

Funeral 1:15 pm Wednesday at Stacey funeral home with 1:31 pm service at Wayland Mennonite Church led by Rev. Simon Gingerich. Burial in North Hill cemetery. Born Dec 20, 1854 in Switzerland he came to America five years ago. Survived by four children Mrs. Mary Rich of Mt Pleasant Jake Ed Richenberger and Mrs. Eicher all of Wayland and several grandchildren. Two children preceded him in death.

Keller Charged With Intoxicated Driving
Emmett Henry Keller aged 39 of Weert Chester was arrested Sunday around 12 15 at the east edge of town on highway driving erratically. He is jailed pending charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Funeral of Mrs. Orr Held Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel Orr widow of Madison J. Orr were held at Sherman's funeral home. The service was led by Rev. Basil McRee of the Associate Presbyterian church and burial followed in Elm Grove cemetery. Mrs Orr died Saturday afternoon at 5 10 at her home 893 West Monroe street of a heart attack after about two hours illness. She was 83 years old. Born near Washington February 3 1860 she was a daughter of Samuel B and Catherine Coulter. She married Madison J. Orr sixty one years ago in Washington. he died two and a half years ago. She spent most of her life in Washington county save three years in Minnesota and had lived in Washington since 1910. Surviving are her daughter Mrs H Holcomns with whom she made her home following Mr Orrs death three grandchildren two sisters Mrs R K Atchison of Rimersburg Pa and Mrs Ella Finney of Mansfield Ohio.
