Americans face dangerous travel as Christmas trips begin. Snow in the East fog in the West and rain in the South slow roads, cause many accidents, and airlines reroute flights. A Frontier DC3 with 43 aboard crash landed in heavy fog near Grand Island Nebraska injuring 23. At least 65 dead in traffic crashes so far, with miners killed near Carlsbad New Mexico and two children killed in Beford New Hampshire. The National Safety Council warns up to 75 total deaths and 27 000 to 33 000 injuries expected before midnight Tuesday.
