Tragic Fatal Crash on U S 75 Kills Truck Driver and Daughter
A Texas trucker William A. Moore 38 and his daughter Cindy Ann 12 from Mesquite were killed when Moore’s semi sideswiped a gasoline transport on a narrow bridge over U S 75 two miles north of River Sioux Iowa. The wreck toppled the bridge span and the cabs burned before rescuers could reach them. The fuel truck driven by Robert Fritz of Omaha escaped with minor injuries. Traffic was rerouted causing a 15 mile detour for motorists.
