Firefighters halted the worst brush blaze of the year after a six day battle in San Juan Capistrano California. A crew of 2700 men stopped the fire driving back hot spots along the northern edge. Nineteen homes were destroyed and about 500 acres burned. Ranger Adams from Prescott National Forest Arizona died Thursday leading a hotshot crew during a wind shift.
