Le Mars family dies in suspected carbon monoxide tragedy
Five members of a Le Mars family were found dead from carbon monoxide in their home on a Wednesday. Coroner S J Luken said the deaths appeared due to a clogged chimney failing to vent a gas furnace. The dead include Fred Harms and wife ages 85 and 77, Henry J Siebels and wife ages 64 and 62, their daughter Sylvia Siebels aged 19, and the Harms daughter-in-law.
