Washington County Hospital approves raises and rate hikes
The Washington County Hospital Board of Trustees approved salary increases for all staff led by Administrator Norman Jensen whose 26 percent raise brings his pay to 22,500. A 30-cent hourly raise for 160 employees will raise annual costs by about 86,000, offset by higher daily hospital rates. Bed rates rise to 75 for semi private and 80 for private rooms with LTC rates at 22 and 20. The board also renamed the office manager to business manager with a 2,724 raise. Aides receive 625 and 597? The board thanked the community for support against proposed HEW rules affecting small hospitals. The hospital reported 857 patient days in November with 133 admissions.
