Two Guests Present At Club's Christmas Party
The HJ club met at Mrs. Charles Schnoebel’s home Thursday afternoon with all 19 members present. Mrs. Orville Myers and Mrs. Art Beranek attended, games and prizes were held for Mrs. Vern Escher and Mrs. Ed Chabal, and a children’s gift exchange occurred. Secret sisters were revealed, new year names drawn, Red Cross collection taken, and refreshments served. A potluck dinner is planned for January 4 at Mrs. Roy Carter’s home.

Veal Steak Variation with Sour Cream Sauce
A veal steak is browned thoroughly then simmered in a sauce of sour cream salt pepper paprika mustard and catchup. Covered tightly the dish stews gently for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve plain or over hot noodles.
Mrs Raymond Rowe Hosts VFW Breakfast Club
The VFW Breakfast club met with 23 members including Mrs. Raymond Rowe. They reported 1000 corn balls were made for Knoxville hospital veterans and 25 pounds of carpet rags were sent. Coffee strips for Christmas totaled 650. A Dec 19 meeting includes a 50 cent gift exchange. Mrs Raymond Glasgow to entertain December 25.
