Bremer Railroad Receiver Dies in Minneapolis
W. H. Bremer, longtime president and later receiver of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway, died last night in Minneapolis. A Marshalltown native and University of Iowa graduate, he led the railway from 1917 to 1923 and served as receiver since July 1923.

Two Men Arrested in Bootlegging Ring Near Square
Homer Kolosick and Jovin Hindahl are jailed in Washington County awaiting a hearing on bootlegging charges after officers stopped deliveries last night two or three blocks south of the square. Sheriff Harold M. Wutoam and Deputy Stan Klesey made the arrests. Seized were pint bottles of Old Mill Stream whiskey stamped with the Illinois state liquor seal and a quantity of gin from a Virginia concern bearing the liquor stamp.
