Raymond Virgil Lovell from Lacona was found drowned after he fell backward into a water tank. Lovell, who had epilepsy, was the victim in the incident.
DES MOINES The Iowa liquor commission reports 225 permits revoked for liquor purchases in the five months since July 1. For its first fiscal year from July 1, 1934, to July 1, 1935, it revoked 162 permits. in the second year it revoked 313.
Amana Corp officials said 299 employees from the communal colonies have registered for old age pensions under the Social Security Act. Many of the 1,500 residents remain unaffected as agricultural workers are exempt from the act.

Burial in St Marys Keota. Survived by wife Susanna Klein and children in Wellman Keota and Dubuque with 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was born April 12 1866 near Keota and was active in community affairs.

Washington learns of the death of T J McElhinney aged long resident who died at his daughter's Hastings Nebraska home. The body will arrive in Washington Saturday morning and a funeral will be held Sunday at 2 30 PM at Sherman funeral home conducted by Rev D Calmers Fulton of the United Presbyterian church.
