The Washington Junior High Music Department presents its annual Christmas Concert Monday December 15 at 7 30 p m in the school gym. Seventh Eighth and Ninth Grade Choruses along with Band A and Band B perform. Admission is free. The Washington Post Office extends hours Saturday December 13 to 3 p m to aid holiday mailers with additional collection boxes and stamp kits for sale.

Plea entered in Chariton farm beating of game wardens
Milton Risbeck 69 and his sons Arlan and Richard of Des Moines pleaded innocent in Magisterial Court to assault with intent to commit great bodily injury and resisting execution of process.
