A three-day-old boy, William David Vinton, son of Mr and Mrs David Vinton of Kalona, died Tuesday December 8 1964 at Washington County Hospital. Manpower survey testing personnel will complete testing of junior and senior class members at Washington High School this week. Residents of the West Chester area will be taking tests at the office in Washington Monday, December 14. The mobile team will be in Crawfordsville Dec. 15, 16 and 17 at the Legion Hall. The team will also go to the Federated church in Keota on Dec. 21 and 22 to administer tests to residents of that area.

At White Sands New Mexico a Little Joe II rocket boosted an unmanned Apollo dummy to 31000 feet while an ejection escape system protected the capsule. After separation the moonship deployed parachutes and main chutes to land safely, validating the abort design for crew safety in a real flight.
