Statistics from the Iowa State Employment Service report November activity at the local office. Of 477 visitors, 48 filed new applications, 122 referred to non agricultural jobs, 11 to farm work. Eighty eight placed in non agricultural jobs and two in farm roles. Among those, 48 were women and 12 veterans. Unemployment claims totalled 8 new and 48 continued. Seven employers were visited. Jobs for farm hands expected early next year, mainly for married men. A YMCA free movie is set for Saturday at 10:30 AM inviting all children.
