New York veteran Casey Stengel a 71 year old manager says he cannot wait for the 1963 season and promises a better Mets club after a 120 loss year. He worked 16 to 18 hours daily at Rochester meetings and in Florida evaluating prospects while insisting he is still sharp and committed to building “the greatest team in baseball.”
