Dr. R. A. Jayne Dies at Home in Oregon

Dr. R A Jayne died at his home in Elgin Oregon after a long illness from heart trouble traced to an influenza attack in 1918. Born January 27 1859 northwest of Washington he studied at Washington academy University of Iowa medical school and practiced in Shedd and later Elgin. Survived by two sons Ka Wyeth of Portland a brother Edward of Extra Town and a sister Mrs Fley of West Chester.

Washington High Opens Season With Brighton Tonight

Washington high school basketball begins tonight facing Brighton on their home court. Coach Hod Rice may start without Captain Fisher who injured a tendon last Friday, with ten to twelve players expected in action including Ahrens Lytle Bain Kurt Wells Kieser Wand Tucker elson Bick and Weark.
