Mrs. J. J. McKeone Louise Catharine Doyle died at 8 35 this morning at the McKeone home 1002 North Seventh avenue after two years of illness and bedrest heart ailment. Born November 18 1869 in Keokuk she married John J. McKeone in 1898. Surviving are her husband one daughter Mrs Madeline Suitor two sons Louis Leonard Bernard and a sister Mrs KE M Slattery of Keokuk. A St James Catholic church member she will lie in state for funeral Monday at 9 30 a m at St James burial in Elm Grove cemetery.

At 2:30 pm Judge Charles A. Dewey directed a verdict for the defendants in the case of George B. Stapp of Cotter versus Mrs Sey mour Martin of Keota and her two sons Glenn and Lloyd Martin. Stapp had sought 14000 for alleged non fulfillment of a real estate exchange contract. The ruling followed closing arguments after the evidence. The term’s other case Chegley v Kiefer also ended in a defense verdict. No further juries will be tried this term.
