Washington County farmer Don Radda compiled an enviable record at two fairs winning many awards. At All Iowa Fair Cedar Rapids he earned first in tall corn, ten blue ribbons, five red ribbons, four white ribbons, three pink ribbons, and one green ribbon. At Iowa State Fair Des Moines he won eight blue ribbons including best 10 ears field corn and longest ear for the 12th year, plus multiple popcorn, wheat and oats prizes and the sweepstakes banner. His winning exhibits will be displayed at the county Extension office for several days.
