Shanghai reports the recovery and burial place of Cpl. Leland Faktor from the Doolittle raid. Faktor’s grave is 450 miles southwest of Shanghai near Wang Ts’un, marked by a crude monument with air corps wings. He is identified by a ring bracelet and glove initials. Of 16 airmen, 7 died and 3 were executed. Faktor may have been among bombers that crash landed on the Chinese coast.
