Barrel ride ends with rescue above Niagara Falls
A man trapped in a 1,300 pound steel barrel near the Niagara Falls brink was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter. The barrel was flipped over to reveal the man who opened the hatch and was taken by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a checkup. Police say the man intended to ride the barrel over Horseshoe Falls but became stuck about 200 feet from the edge.
