United Press reports the airmen Bert Hassell and Parker D. Cramer on the Greater Rockford flight from Cochrane Ontario toward Stockholm Sweden vanished over Davis Strait after radio signals faded. They departed at 12 12 p m EST Saturday with fuel for about 39 hours and were near Davis Strait 100 miles from land when last heard at 3 a m EST Sunday.

Don Hagist twenty died Saturday from a self inflicted abdominal wound while loading a revolver for a rabbit hunt. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Keota this afternoon. He left a young wife, his parents Mr and Mrs Will Hagist, and several brothers and sisters. He operated the Hagist farm northwest of Keota. Prof George Hendrickson and family of Ames visited at Mrs Hendrickson's parental home north of town. Alta Wyse spent Sunday with her parents in the Wayland community.
