Hoover Train to Go Through Washington Tuesday
Press dispatches report a Hoover special carrying Herbert Hoover from California to West Branch will pass through Washington early Tuesday. It is due to arrive at 7 30 in the morning bearing the Republican nominee, family, newspaper men and party leaders. The train runs on the Rock Island as part of the Golden State Limited and follows via Columbus Junction then to the Minneapolis line at the junction. West Branch is the first station north of West Liberty with many locals planning to view the Hoover visit and related farm relief rallies in Cedar Rapids awaiting Hoover’s appearance.
